WORLD JUNIOR WINNER 2011

Under breed specialist PSK judge Mme Jeanette Seltz Halter, Chico won Best Junior from 16 other Juniors, and gained the important title at Paris 2011. He was then shortlisted from 72 other Junior winners to the final 5.

Just before Paris, was Windsor Ch show where Chico won Working & Pastoral Junior Stakes from Judge Rodney Oldham, and AVNSC BOB from Judge Stuart Mallard. We were delighted when he was shortlisted in the Working Group (a big achievement for a GP) by Judge Hans van den Berg.

BEST OF BREED CRUFTS 2011

At just 14 months, from an entry of 21 dogs, ‘Chico’ won BOB - and Best Puppy In Breed from Judge Stuart Mallard. He then impressed Judge Mrs Kari Wilberg in the Working Group to be the first German Pinscher ever to be shortlisted at Crufts. Here is a clip of Chico in the final 8 of the Crufts Working Group. A great achievement for such a youngster, and wonderful for the breed in the UK.

'Chico' was bred by Anya Nikkonen from the world famous top Finnish kennel Ceriinan. He is owned in partnership with us and Dave & Gay Clarke in Derbyshire where he lives in a busy household with Gay's 150 pedigree hens and various sheep, cats, a goat and 5 grandchildren. He is easy around everyone, adults, children and other dogs but is a good guarder.

He is super confident and didn't bat an eyelid when he was introduced to the Dobes of the house. He stayed at daughter Lisa's house when Lindt was in season, and like the other dogs, thinks all the children (Lisa's five under the age of nine!) are the best entertainment particularly when they are 'accidentally' dropping their food.
